Melodie Meadows, MS, CCC-SLP
I was born in Asheville, NC and grew up in the beautiful countryside of Leicester, NC. Spellbound by the mountains, Asheville has always been my home. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Carolina University in 1987, followed by a Master of Science degree in the field of Communication Disorders in 1989. I hold a license to practice from the state of NC, as well as the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Over the past thirty years, I have worked in a variety of settings, including a residential facility for adults with developmental disabilities, public and charter schools, a pediatric outpatient unit at a rehabilitation hospital, as well as private practice.
I am a pediatric therapist at heart, with a particular affinity for preschool-age children. My personal goal is to help children achieve their highest communicative potential through fun, engaging therapy activities. Time has not diminished the joys of hearing a child's first word, eliciting a smile or laugh, and witnessing a child's growing sense of pride and accomplishment!
